Backyard Luau Fourth Birthday Party in Los Angeles

I couldn’t wait to collaborate with Kristi from Details Details again for Laetitia’s luau-themed fourth birthday party in Los Angeles! Her team outdid themselves by creating this lavish event in the family’s backyard, complete with a shaved ice station, a pink bounce castle, and a visit from Minnie Mouse.

Over the years, I’ve photographed many events for Laetitia’s family, including her butterfly-themed second birthday party and her parents’ luxury baby shower. I love serving repeat clients because I can get to know them better and watch their families grow! Laetitia’s parents, Elsa and Jerome, understand the importance of having a photographer present to capture life’s big moments. I’m so glad they chose me to document this vibrant and fun-filled birthday party!

Luau-Themed Fourth Birthday Party in Los Angeles

The team at Details Details lived up to their name when planning this spectacular birthday party. There was no end to the fun for kids and adults alike! Wine coolers awaited parents at the gorgeous sage green mini-bar. Meanwhile, Laetitia and her friends snacked on cake pops from Flour Shop and colorful shaved ice creations between sitting to have their faces painted and playing in the enormous bounce castle. Of course, the highlight was a visit from Minnie Mouse! And everyone enjoyed watching the hula dancers from Kahula Voyage Luau Entertainment.

Most don’t expect to enjoy gourmet cuisine at a fourth birthday party, but this celebration was an exception! The Hawaiian buffet catered by Mila’s Kitchen Hawaii was full of mouthwatering dishes inspired by the traditional flavors of the islands. Teriyaki beef sliders, 24-karat ahi musubi, and poke skewers were just a few of the menu items.

Of course, as a luxury event, this fourth birthday party in Los Angeles was also impeccably designed. Kristi from Details Details collaborated with the florists at Bloom Box Designs to create a tropical paradise in Laetitia’s backyard! Exotic florals graced every surface, from the buffet to the mini-bar. Blooms of hibiscus, orchids, and anthuriums filled the vibrant centerpieces. But the focal point of the design was a miniature ship covered in pink orchids and palm fronds, welcoming everyone to Laetitia’s fourth birthday party. It made a stunning photo backdrop!
