A garden party birthday party, with butterfly details, for a second birthday? Of course! Here in Los Angeles, I get to photograph the most extraordinary events!
Designer Kristi from Details Details worked closely with an incredible vendor team to make this birthday come true. Inspired by Laetitia’s love of butterflies and all things pink, they focused on a design filled with pastel colors. The team at Details Details focused on impeccable planning, unique design, and gorgeous details that leave guests in awe.
Blush Butterfly Second Birthday Party
The whimsical party took place in the family’s backyard, which already has a beautiful garden theme, with ivy crawling up the home. Guests were greeted with a sign covered in butterflies to give a glimpse of the whimsy to come. Butterfly hedges were placed throughout and filled with roses in various shades of pink. Blush-colored blooms lead the guests to the al-fresco-style dinner, complete with pink and white flowers.
Even the kid’s table felt luxurious! Pastel butterfly cups and plates were ready for the kids, and plush toys were at each seat to take home. A champagne bar was set up for the adults, while kids got to have lots of treats and desserts. The cake by Candy Apple Cakes was a work of art! The three-tier cake had sugar flowers, and lots of cupcakes and cookies completed the dessert table.
Of course, no second birthday party is complete without activities! There were events for kids of all ages, including a castle bounce house and slide. Balloonique Designs created an amazing design around both pieces, so the colorful balloons carried from the dinner to the party! MESH Kids Co. provided the custom slide, painted in flowers, and had balloons for the kids to “swim” in! You could hear the sweet sound of kids laughing and playing all evening long. This party is sure to inspire your own fluttering affair!
