Sara and Benjamin had a beautiful summer wedding, surrounded by their closest family and friends! They chose Middle Ranch, which is a beautiful venue outside of Los Angeles. Nestled in the San Gabriel Mountains, this venue really lets you escape from the bustle of LA. Sara planned the wedding from the UK, where the couple live, so she wanted a venue that had both the ceremony and reception all at one site!
Sara’s bouquet was cascading, with dozens of roses and lots of draping greenery. My favorite part of her look was her dress! She chose a crepe gown, lace cap sleeves, and a deep v-neck cutout. The back was all lace, with button detail, and lace on the edges of the train. It was classic and romantic!
Summer Wedding at Middle Ranch
The couple is Jewish Orthodox, so they wanted to make sure it followed tradition. Before the ceremony, they had a bedeken. This is a ceremony where both the groom and bride are separated, and celebrated by their loved ones! The groom and his male friends and family make a procession to the bride, who is sitting on a throne with her female friends and family. Their ceremony took place that evening, after the sunset. Middle Ranch has a beautiful outdoor space, so their ceremony took place among the huge trees. You really forget you are so close to the city!
Dinner and dancing took place on their outdoor lawn, which had string lights hanging from the pergola for some lighting. The venue is so gorgeous, so they kept the flowers and decor simple. Each table had lavender napkins, with large candles and greenery. Guests had so much fun dancing the night away! I love photographing outdoor weddings like this one since you can really let the outdoors be the backdrop for portraits. There were so many beautiful spots for pictures! Congratulations, Sara and Benjamin!
