The sunset was absolutely perfect for Nancy and Freddy’s engagement session! We headed to Malibu Creek for their session, and the mountain views and golden hour light were absolutely perfect. This is one of my favorite spots for engagement sessions since you can get so many different backdrops. There are trails, lakes, and views of the Santa Monica Mountains.
There are so many different outfits you can pick from for your engagement session, from super formal gowns to laid-back jeans and a sweater. But my favorite? White! I love when brides wear a simple white dress, and the grooms wear a crisp white button-down with khakis. It is so classic and timeless! Nancy wore a white satin midi dress, with a low back and modern heels. Her hair and makeup were flawless. She chose a soft wave, which really looked beautiful in the wind.
Oftentimes, my couples are worried about looking stiff or awkward in front of the camera. But as a photographer, I work hard to make sure you are always comfortable in front of the camera. I’ll take the time to put you two in the very best lighting situation and then step back to let you guys interact naturally. Just like I did with Nancy and Freddy! To set up the pose, I had them walk into the sunset, and as Nancy looked back, I got some gorgeous shots!
I can’t wait for the wedding of this sweet couple happening this October at Middle Ranch! I know it is going to be filled with so many beautiful details, and I can’t wait to capture their joy!
