For many of my couples, their wedding isn’t just one day – they turn it into a whole weekend of events! Emily and Clayton wanted guests to have a fun weekend filled with things to do. So they enlisted the help of Say I Do To Details to plan a beach day and a rehearsal dinner.
Emily and Clayton had a fun beach day in Santa Monica to kick off their wedding weekend! They wanted to welcome all of their guests since many were traveling in for the weekend. They set up umbrellas and tents to keep everyone cool and fun games that everyone played into the night! There was lots of food and drinks and seating all over the beach. It was such a fun way to get everyone together before the big day.
The next day, Emily and Clayton had their rehearsal dinner at The Huntley Hotel. They chose a tropical color palette, with pink peonies, palm leaf napkins, and many candles. They wanted all areas to be decorated, from the tables to the bar. So arrangements were placed throughout the outdoor bar patio and used tropical linens to add a pop of color.
Complete Wedding Weekend Photography
Since many of the guests had not seen each other in over a year due to the Pandemic, it was important to have me there to photograph it all. It’s a time to celebrate, hug your family and friends, and get photos together. There are quite a few reasons my clients love having a photographer there for their rehearsal dinner!
One: You get to have extra photographs of the two of you! Your wedding day will go by quickly, and you will be thankful that you had someone there to capture the two of you the day before.
Two: You also get to have lots of photos of your closest family and friends. This is one of the rare opportunities you and everyone you love will be in the same room together – so enjoy it! There is limited time to get family and friend portraits on the wedding day. So you can have even more taken during the rehearsal dinner! Use this opportunity to get a photo with everyone. As a photographer, I will work with you to get a list of group pictures while also capturing the in-between moments.
Three: You get to document one of the most memorable wedding weekend moments. It’s a much more relaxed atmosphere, and it’s always such a fun evening! While you’re busy mingling with family and friends, I will be on the sidelines, watching for intimate moments and taking candid shots.
Hiring a photographer for all of your wedding weekend events is a must-have! It’s such a great way to get diverse images that commemorate your wedding weekend. I can include a welcome party, rehearsal dinner, and post-wedding brunch in many of my packages! So reach out today, and let’s make it perfect!
