Nancy and Alex and a super sweet engagement session at Topanga Canyon! This spot always has the most incredible sunsets and is a favorite of mine. Just look at how gorgeous that light is! Topanga Canyon is the largest park in the Santa Monica mountains and has such beautiful views. It’s close to downtown Los Angles and Santa Monica, so it’s perfect for my local couples!
This area has a laid back vibe and is such a fun and wild terrain to shoot in. There are 36 miles of trails, through the open grassland, to the live oaks. And the views of the Pacific Ocean can’t be beaten!
Nancy and Alex wanted their shoot to be laid back, but still a little bit formal. When it comes to picking outfits for an engagement session, I always tell my couples to find a color they want to coordinate! Nancy and Alex chose red – which I just loved! Nancy wore a beautiful floral print dress, that was flown and perfect for their outdoor session. Alex chose a red button-down with jeans. It was the perfect mix of formal, but comfortable. When your shoot is outdoors, you have to make sure you wear something you can move in! Especially if we are going to a beach, or hiking along a trail.
