Jackie and Christopher had the most beautiful engagement session at Mission San Juan Capistrano! This sweet couple wanted a unique backdrop for their engagement shoot, and I’m so glad they chose this one. This historic landmark was founded over two hundred years ago, so the architecture is so incredible. We started the shoot at the iconic “Sacred Garden” that was built in 1920. The four-bells the perfect backdrop for portraits.
The couple chose to go more formal with their outfits, and Jackie was gorgeous in her ombre blue and black gown. And her heels were so fun! She had a bouquet of red roses that she held for part of the shoot. I love the contrast her blue gown had with the red roses! When shooting engagement sessions for my couples, I encourage them to show off their personality. For some couples, that means adding accessories or props! For others, it’s about picking a location that is very special to them.
Parts of the garden were in bloom, so we made sure to walk around those and get some portraits. The two were so giddy and happy during the shoot, and were so cute together! I loved how Christopher swept Jackie off her feet and swung her around. Those are some of my favorite images from the day! I am so thankful I got to shoot their engagement session at Mission San Juan Capistrano!
