Demetria and Dion had such a fun engagement and family session at Redondo Beach! They wanted Dion’s daughter, Devyn, to be included, so we also took some family portraits. When two families come together, it’s such a great idea to have everyone there for the session! We can focus the first half on you and the kids, and the second half on just the two of you. For this couple, we took time to have lots of portrait options, so they could have some of them on the beach, some in sweaters, and some with all three of them.
Not sure where to have your engagement session pictures taken, especially if you are bringing your family with you? Go to the beach! Being outside on the beach is perfect for family shoots with kids. It lets the kids play around and have fun – and help take the pressure off of getting their pictures taken. Devyn had so much fun playing on the beach, and jumping around. My favorite pictures of her are when she started jumping – the smile on her face just glows!
As the sun started to set, the golden light and pink skies made the most incredible backdrop. Redondo Beach is a great beach for portraits since you have some rocky shorelines for sitting, but also a pier close by if you want to get pictures there as well.
