As a wedding photographer, there is nothing I love more than photographing my friend’s weddings. I have known Camila and her family for many years now. She is my best friend, and we are all family! She is also one-half of the wedding planning company, C. Rezende Events, which she owns with her sister Clarissa. These two are incredible planners who got started in Sao Paulo, Brazil. They are now in West Hollywood, and I love being able to work with them on their stunning weddings and events!
For Camila’s wedding, she chose a destination wedding in Dallas, Texas. She wanted an intimate wedding that focused on lots of details. Since she is a seasoned wedding planner, she wanted to make this unique to her and her husband, Sean. They chose the J Theodore Restaurant outside of Dallas. It was a perfect choice known for its Parisian-inspired decor and award-winning food.
Camila got ready at Renaissance Dallas with her mom, sister, and friends. Her mom handmade her bouquet and did all the flowers for the wedding. Camila chose a simple white bridal bout with white snapdragon for her bridal bouquet, hand-tied with a blush ribbon. It complimented her classic lace gown, which had an open back for a bit of drama.
Sunset Wedding in Dallas at J Theodore
The bar transformed into a moody Parisian space with incredible decor. Dried leaves and fresh flowers were paired together with lots of texture. Shades of copper, blush, marigold and cream paired with the dark walls of the bar, and golden art-deco decor. Their ceremony took place at sunset, with guests standing around the couple as they shared their vows. It was such a sweet moment and even more special since their loved ones were surrounding them.
Dinner took place steps away in the dining room. The long marble tables were covered in endless flowers and dozens of candles. The blush goblets tied into the blush roses, and each guest got a copy of the book “Love Letters Of Great Men”. Gold accents were placed throughout, from the escort cart holders, pillar candles, and dishes. After a delicious dinner and incredible drinks, guests enjoyed live music at the bar and danced the night away! Congratulations, Camila + Sean, and thank you for letting me photograph this incredible day!
