I’m so excited to share this intimate colorful backyard wedding in Pacific Palisades! Intimate weddings are quickly becoming my favorite to photograph! It is such a great way to celebrate, and often much less stressful. You can spend real quality time with all of your guests. Intimate and micro-weddings are typically under 25 people, so you can keep the guest list to just your closest family and friends. This really lets you connect with everyone on the wedding day! Oftentimes, at a bigger wedding, the couple has to take a lot of time out of enjoying their day to greet guests. In fact, don’t even have time to eat a full dinner! With a smaller guest list, you can sit down around a family table and feel connected.
Backyard Wedding in Pacific Palisades
This intimate wedding took place at a private residence in Pacific Palisades. The home has the most incredible view of the valley, and made the perfect ceremony and reception spot! The team at Amazing Grace Designs did the design and planning. Amazing Grace Designs is a full-service event planning, interior design, and creative arts studio here in Los Angeles. Debra and her team have been planning for over 15 years! I love being able to work with her, and she always creates the most stunning designs. Flowermaid did the flowers and really transformed the space.
The backyard was transformed into a colorful and romantic space! Guests were greeted with lush floral displays, with peach, yellow and pink flowers. Images of family members’ wedding day added an authentic touch. Similarly, their pergola and deck were covered in flowers. It really made you feel like you were in a garden. Above, they hung white paper lanterns from the tree, which was quite magical, especially as the sun set in the valley. The ceremony faced the deck, and after, guests mingled in the garden while the chairs were moved to the tables.
The reception tables had white linens that let the colorful flowers really pop! Natural linen placemats with soft blue and gold chargers completed the tables. Guests were encouraged to photograph the day with Instax cameras and add it to the guestbook! It was such a fun way for guests to be included in the wedding day.
