I am so happy to share this fun sunset family session on Manhattan Beach! This family has a gorgeous home on the beach, so we did their family session in their backyard. While we often do family sessions around Los Angeles, I love coming to my client’s home to capture them! Doing your family session at home allows you and your family to be comfortable and enjoy privacy. Plus, you can have some quick outfit changes if you would like!
We started the session with individual portraits of the kids. This lets everyone get more comfortable in front of the camera. Then we gathered the three kids together for some fun shots together. We did the shoot at sunset, so the lighting was perfect! We then got some of just mom and dad together. Oftentimes, mom and dad are so focused on pictures of their kids, so they forget to get pictures together! So I always make sure to take time to get some of the two together.

After we got pictures of the family in their backyard, we headed to the beach for some more fun! The sunset was the perfect shades of orange and pink and really was so beautiful. I love that the family chose outfits that were a little more dressed up, but still casual and authentic. Family sessions are about capturing your family in the moment!
