Alex found me on Google while planning a surprise proposal during their trip from Paris. Masha had no idea what was waiting for her on the iconic shores of El Matador State Beach. As the sun began to dip behind the cliffs, Alex got down on one knee with a Tiffany diamond ring in hand. Masha was not only starting a new chapter with Alex but also preparing for a move to LA for work, making this sunset moment even more meaningful.
Brittany & Hamza | A Birthday Surprise on the Beach
Hamza and Brittany, who live in Texas, came to LA to celebrate her birthday – or so she thought. These two met playing soccer, and from the very beginning, their relationship has been full of energy and connection. What Brittany didn’t know was that Hamza had secretly flown in her family to witness the moment he asked her to spend forever with him. As soon as she saw her loved ones after the proposal, the tears flowed! It was one of the most emotional proposal sessions I’ve captured. They’ll be moving to Los Angeles for a few years before settling down and starting a family, so this moment marked the start of a whole new chapter in more ways than one.
Kayla & Tyler | A Coastal Curveball at Point Dume
Tyler had planned every detail: a romantic beach picnic at Point Dume, a heart made of flowers, and a surprise proposal for Kayla. But in true beach proposal fashion, sometimes nature (and the Coast Guard) has other plans. Just before the setup was finished, we learned that Point Dume is a marine reserve, which meant no flowers allowed. But love is nothing if not adaptable. With some quick thinking, Kayla’s friends pivoted and created a heart shape out of stones instead. And when Tyler dropped to one knee, Kayla’s joy couldn’t be contained. She cried, she laughed, and she couldn’t stop smiling. It was a beautiful reminder that it’s not about the perfect setup, but the perfect person.
Rebecca & Christian | A Family Affair in Palos Verdes
Christian knew he wanted to propose somewhere breathtaking, and after finding Terranea Resort in Palos Verdes, he reached out to me to help bring it all together. They flew in from Texas, where they’ve built their life together for the last 3 ½ years. The proposal took place right on the beach, and just moments after Rebecca said yes, both of their families appeared to celebrate. It was emotional and joy-filled! A truly full-circle moment for two people deeply loved by their community. They capped off the night with dinner at Mar’sel, one of the most romantic restaurants in Los Angeles. (Pro tip: I always recommend my proposal clients make a reservation there after! The views and food are stunning.)
