This proposal at Point Dume was so special! When Marcus booked my proposal photography package, he explained that he wanted to propose to his partner, Vanessa, in a secluded location. Point Dume in Malibu is a meaningful location for the couple where they’ve spent significant time together. So, popping the question there made perfect sense! Everything came together for a blissful surprise proposal, from the lack of people on the beach to the stunning sunset at the end of the couple’s session.
Golden Hour Proposal at Point Dume
I was excited when Marcus chose Point Dume as his proposal location because the area is so photogenic! From the bluffs above the beach to the sparkling ocean water, it’s one of the most beautiful places to propose in SoCal. When the couple arrived, Marcus led Vanessa onto the beach and got on one knee just steps from the waves. She was so surprised, and (of course) said YES! I love her simple yet stunning gold engagement ring.
After the couple enjoyed a private moment together, I emerged from my hiding place and began shooting their engagement session. The golden hour light was perfect, and Mother Nature treated us to the most spectacular sunset! After we finished shooting, the couple headed to Geoffrey’s Malibu to celebrate. With gourmet food and unmatched coastline views, it was the perfect spot for them to cozy up and enjoy the start of this exciting new chapter together.
