Cilji and Sindre’s story begins years before their proposal, way back in high school in Norway, where they first met. Life took them on different paths for a while, but they reconnected later and have been together for six wonderful years. To celebrate, they planned the ultimate U.S. adventure: a cross-country vacation starting in Orlando, then heading to Miami, San Diego, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas before returning home. But one golden, wind-swept evening in LA would change everything.
Sindre had planned something truly special. While they were in Los Angeles, he suggested a coastal walk with a view. What Cilji didn’t know was that I was already there, hiding nearby at a scenic overlook, camera in hand, ready to document the moment. The breeze picked up just as he dropped to one knee—her dress billowed, her hair moved with the wind, and the ocean behind them shimmered in that soft, golden California light. It felt like a scene straight out of a film. And she said yes, of course.

After the proposal, we headed down to the beach for an engagement session that was as joyful and playful as it was beautiful. Cilji and Sindre kicked off their shoes, ran along the shoreline, and even jumped into the (chilly!) Pacific. It’s always such a joy when couples let go, have fun, and just live in the moment.
