In the Spotlight: My Interview with VoyageLA

Press

I’m so excited to share that I was recently featured in VoyageLA, a publication that highlights artists, creatives, and entrepreneurs who make this city such a vibrant place to live and work. Being interviewed about my photography journey was not only an honor, but it also gave me a chance to reflect on how far I’ve come and where this creative path began.

For me, photography has always been about presence. I believe in being fully there for the people I photograph, whether it’s a couple on their wedding day or a chef mid-service in their kitchen. In the interview, I had the chance to talk about how I got started, what inspires me, and what it’s like to run a creative business in a city as dynamic as Los Angeles.

From Brazil to the West Coast: My Creative Journey

I was born in Brazil, a place that deeply shaped my appreciation for emotion, beauty, and connection. My family and I moved to Los Angeles when I was a teenager, and while the transition was big, LA quickly became home. The diversity, the energy, the colors — it all felt familiar. And over time, this city became the canvas for my career in photography.

I started out second shooting weddings, learning every aspect of what it meant to document people in a way that felt real and timeless. Slowly, I began booking clients on my own. Now, over a decade later, I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings, elopements, brand shoots, and events across California and beyond. No two stories are ever the same, and that’s exactly what I love about it.

Los Angeles Wedding and Event Photographer

I specialize in documentary-inspired photography with an editorial touch. This means capturing what’s happening, while elevating the way it’s remembered. I work with couples planning intimate weddings and destination celebrations, as well as brands and creatives who want to show the heart of what they do. From micro-weddings on the Malibu coast to multi-day events in Palm Springs, I bring both artistic vision and calm professionalism to every shoot.

My goal is always the same: to create images that feel like you. Whether that means catching a tear during the vows, a soft laugh between siblings, or the quiet pride on a parent’s face, I’m there to preserve it all, so you can relive it later.
