Last summer I shot Toby’s Bar Mitzvah, and it was so fun, and unique! It had many firsts, like my first time trying a nitrogen ice cream bar, and the first band I have seen perform from the pool (while floating around!). Toby signed his Torah at their family home, surrounded by close family and friends. Before we headed to the party, which was in a different location, we got some family portraits around their home. I also took some portraits of Toby’s mother and father, so they would have these memories forever!
The after party took place at 7PM, under the stars. The theme was lime green and blue, with pops of orange. It was perfect for summer! There was a ton of food, including fresh popcorn and toppings, hand-made dumplings, lots of colorful candy, and delicious finger food. Not only was there table seating for guests, but they also rented large couches and furniture to make it more intimate, and comfortable. They also had games brought in, like Foosball and arcade games. The kids loved it! A huge balloon display made a great backdrop for photo’s, and there was an airbrush tattoo artist for the kids. One of the coolest parts was the band, who played while floating in the pool!
As evening came, break dancers came out to get the party started, doing awesome tricks. It was a great way to get the kids (and parents!) on their feet. Near the end of the night, there was plenty of dessert! There was a donut bar, as well as nitrogen ice cream. Have you heard of nitrogen ice cream? This form of ice cream can be made in seconds, so it can be made right in front of you, in any flavor! I hope this is a trend for all upcoming weddings!
Congratulations Toby!
