Some proposals are quiet and cozy. Others are bold and cinematic. And then there’s this: a proposal full of intention, heart, and unforgettable style, set against one of Los Angeles’ most iconic backdrops: Mulholland Drive.
Pooja and Tyler’s started dating eight years ago, when they met as undergrads at USC. Since then, they’ve built a love full of joy and partnership through medical school, and now, a future together.
Tyler planned the proposal just one week before Match Day, the moment he’d find out where he’d be placed for his medical residency. Not knowing if he’d be staying in LA or moving across the country, he wanted to make one thing crystal clear to Pooja: no matter where life took him next, she was his forever.
An Intimate Proposal on Mulholland Drive
To make the moment extra special, Tyler rented a beautiful Airbnb on Mulholland Drive. This is one of the most iconic drives in the Hollywood Hills. Known for its twinkling city lights below and celebrity homes. With help from his sister, he set the scene: florals, chilled champagne, and a photo album he had made of their relationship.
Pooja arrived dressed in a stunning white strapless corset gown, pleated and draped in all the right places, paired with metallic gold heels. Tyler wore a classic black suit, and he had the perfect finishing touch: a large emerald-cut diamond ring.
A Post-Proposal Session At Laurel Canyon State Park
After the proposal, we took a scenic drive up Mulholland, stopping at Laurel Canyon State Park for photos. This is one of my spots in LA for elevated, editorial-style engagement images. The sweeping views of the skyline, the soft golden light make it the perfect place to soak in the moment and celebrate in style.
